Group Fitness Classes

Circuit training

Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina. The circuit training comprises of 6 to 10 strength & or cardio exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a set time before moving on to the next exercise. The exercises within each circuit are separated by a short rest period, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period. The total number of circuits performed during a training session may vary from two to six depending on the difficulty of the exercise.

Running Group

Running group consists of a broad range of abilities: from seniors to kids under 10; from absolute beginners working on running their first 1km non-stop to experienced, faster runners finishing at the pointy end of races.

Boxing

Boxing is a high intensity full-body workout that will make you physically stronger as well as aerobically and an-aerobically fitter. It is a complete workout for your cardiovascular and endurance systems as well as training upper body, lower body and core strength. Calorie expenditure and fat burning are very elevated during boxing as it is such a high intensity workout utilising large muscle groups and constantly keeps you moving. Boxing does not tend to add muscle bulk as much as tone and define muscle because it involves such high repetitions.
Boxing is a workout that can accommodate for all levels of strength and fitness and can be enjoyed by beginner to advanced participants. Drills can easily be modified to increase or decrease intensity and complexity of the workout.

Cardio Class

Cardio Class is a high-impact cardio workout like nothing else. Designed to burn fat and rapidly improve athletic capability, this explosive, 60-minute team training session helps improve your overall fitness, tone your body, and improve coordination, strength, agility and endurance.

Tabata training

Tabata interval training is one of the single most effective type of high intensity interval training, it's also one of the most intense by far and surprisingly it's the shortest in duration, it only lasts for four minutes... but those four minutes produce remarkable effects.

Lose Fat, Get Fit in four minutes!

Tabata training was discovered by Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo.

Dr. Tabata discovered that this kind of interval training produces much better results than aerobic training. This included building as much muscular endurance as forty-five minutes of normal cardio training. In fact in the study the subjects increased their anaerobic capacity by over 25% as well a substantial increase in their aerobic fitness. Something to keep in mind was that the subjects were extremely fit before they started the trial, so the improvements were remarkable.

This makes it a very versatile program, you can use tabata for weight loss as well most improving performance in most aerobic and anaerobic sports.
